Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Theme Park Compass ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App.
What This App Does
Theme Park Compass is a transportation decision engine for Walt Disney World Resort. It helps you decide which transportation option to take between locations (parks, resorts, Disney Springs) based on estimated travel times.
What It Is
- A tool to compare transportation options (bus, monorail, Skyliner, boat, walking)
- A journey tracker to follow your selected route
- A time estimation service based on aggregate user data
What It Is NOT
- A GPS navigation app (we don't give turn-by-turn directions)
- An official Walt Disney World application
- A guarantee of transportation availability or timing
No Affiliation with Disney
Theme Park Compass is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney World Resort, or any of their subsidiaries. All Disney-related trademarks, including park names, resort names, and transportation system names, are property of The Walt Disney Company.
We provide information about Disney transportation as a third-party service for guest convenience.
Accuracy of Information
Time Estimates Are Estimates
Our transportation time estimates are based on aggregate data and historical patterns. Actual times will vary due to:
- Weather conditions
- Special events
- Maintenance or closures
- Crowd levels
- Time of day
- Factors outside our control
We do not guarantee accuracy. Use our estimates as one factor in your planning, not as a definitive source.
Transportation Availability
Transportation schedules, routes, and availability are controlled by Walt Disney World, not by us. We make reasonable efforts to reflect current transportation options, but:
- Services may be suspended without notice
- Routes may change
- Operating hours may vary
Always confirm critical transportation with Disney directly for important travel (e.g., dining reservations, flight connections).
Your Responsibilities
By using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only
- Not rely solely on our estimates for time-critical decisions
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
- Not use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Not interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Intellectual Property
Our Content
The App, including its design, features, code, and original content, is owned by Compass Platforms LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Your Data
Any anonymous timing data you contribute (when "Help Improve Estimates" is enabled) becomes part of our aggregate dataset. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use this anonymous data to improve our service and for other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ESTIMATES
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
We do not warrant that:
- Time estimates will be accurate
- Transportation will be available as indicated
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- The App will be available at all times
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPASS PLATFORMS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Any loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Any damages arising from missed transportation, reservations, or events
- Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the App (which is zero, since it's free)
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise).
Plain English: If you miss your dining reservation because our bus estimate was wrong, we're sorry, but we're not liable. Use your judgment and build in buffer time for important events.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Compass Platforms LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
Changes to the App
We may at any time:
- Modify or discontinue any feature
- Update time estimates and routing algorithms
- Change the App's design or functionality
- Suspend or terminate the service
We'll try to provide notice of significant changes, but we're not obligated to do so.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We'll update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
Exception: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Compass Platforms LLC regarding the App.
