Beach Club Transportation: The Closest Resort to EPCOT
Transportation from Beach Club
Disney's Beach Club Resort is the closest resort to EPCOT. A 5-7 minute walk puts you inside the park. No bus, no boat, no waiting — just walk.
This location makes Beach Club one of the best-connected resorts at Disney World, at least for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. This guide covers all your options.
Your Transportation Options
Beach Club has three main transportation modes:
| Mode | Destinations | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Walking | EPCOT, Hollywood Studios | 5-25 min depending on park |
| Boat (Friendship) | EPCOT, Hollywood Studios | Scenic, ~15-25 min with wait |
| Bus | All 4 parks + Disney Springs | Standard Disney bus service |
No Skyliner or monorail access.
The Closest Resort to EPCOT
Beach Club's back door is essentially EPCOT's back door. International Gateway — the entrance between France and the UK in World Showcase — is steps away.
To EPCOT
Walk time: 5-7 minutes
This is the shortest resort-to-park walk at Disney World. You can leave your room, walk at a casual pace, and be inside EPCOT in under 10 minutes.
Why this matters:
- Forgot something? Walk back and get it.
- Kid needs a nap? Return to the room and come back later.
- Want to watch fireworks then leave? Walk out while others wait in bus lines.
No other transportation mode comes close. The boat takes longer. The bus takes much longer.
Note: You enter at International Gateway (World Showcase). For the front of EPCOT (Guardians, Test Track), either walk through the park or take the bus to the main entrance.
To Hollywood Studios
Walk time: 20-25 minutes
Beach Club is the furthest of the EPCOT-area resorts from Hollywood Studios (because it's the closest to EPCOT — they're on opposite sides).
The walk goes along Crescent Lake, past BoardWalk. It's pleasant but longer.
When to walk:
- Weather is good
- You have energy
- You'd rather move than wait
When to consider alternatives:
- Midday heat
- Tired from a long day
- Boat is at the dock

Getting to Each Park
To EPCOT
Best option: Walk (always)
| Option | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Walk | 5-7 min | Always fastest |
| Boat | 15-20 min | No practical reason to take it |
| Bus | 20-35 min | Only if you need main entrance |
There's almost no scenario where you shouldn't walk to EPCOT from Beach Club.
The only exception: if you specifically need the main entrance and don't want to walk through the park.
To Hollywood Studios
Best option: Walk, boat, or bus (all competitive)
| Option | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Walk | 20-25 min | Longer but reliable |
| Boat | 15-25 min | Similar time, you sit |
| Bus | 20-35 min | Direct, air-conditioned |
Beach Club is the furthest EPCOT-area resort from Hollywood Studios, so the walk is at the edge of "worth it." The boat or bus are reasonable alternatives.
Decision: If weather is pleasant and you want to move, walk. If it's hot or you're tired, take whatever's available.
To Magic Kingdom
Option: Bus only
| Step | Time |
|---|---|
| Walk to bus stop | 3-5 min |
| Wait for bus | 5-20 min |
| Ride to Magic Kingdom | 15-25 min |
| Total | 23-50 min |
No walking or boat connection. Direct bus service.
To Animal Kingdom
Option: Bus only
Total time: 23-45 min
Direct bus.
To Disney Springs
Option: Bus only
Total time: 23-40 min
Beach Club vs. Yacht Club
Beach Club and Yacht Club are connected sister resorts. Transportation is nearly identical.
| Factor | Beach Club | Yacht Club |
|---|---|---|
| Walk to EPCOT | 5-7 min | 7-10 min |
| Walk to Hollywood Studios | 20-25 min | 18-22 min |
| Boat dock | Shared | Shared |
| Bus stop | Shared | Shared |
Beach Club wins for EPCOT. It's the closest resort to International Gateway.
Yacht Club has a slight edge for Hollywood Studios (shorter walk in that direction).
In practice, both are excellent. The difference is 2-3 minutes.
For Yacht Club details, see Yacht Club Transportation.
Rope Drop Strategies
For EPCOT
Leave time: 25-35 minutes before park opening
You're 5-7 minutes away. This is the easiest rope drop at Disney.
For Guardians (front of park): Walk in through International Gateway and head to the front, or take the bus to the main entrance.
For Hollywood Studios
Leave time: 50-65 minutes before park opening
Walk (20-25 min) or catch an early boat. The walk is longer from Beach Club than other EPCOT-area resorts.
For Magic Kingdom
Leave time: 60-75 minutes before park opening
Direct bus to Magic Kingdom.
For Animal Kingdom
Leave time: 60-75 minutes before park opening
Bus only.
Park Close Strategies
From EPCOT
Walk. 5-7 minutes and you're home.
This is why people pay Beach Club prices. Fireworks end, you walk out International Gateway, and you're in your room before bus lines have started moving.
From Hollywood Studios
Walk, boat, or bus. All work. If you're tired, the boat or bus is fine — the walk is 20-25 minutes.
From Magic Kingdom
Direct bus back to Beach Club. Bus lines can be long after fireworks — leave early or stay late. See Transportation at Park Close.
From Animal Kingdom
Stay 15-20 minutes after the nighttime show to let bus lines clear.

Tips for Beach Club Guests
EPCOT Is Your Backyard
Treat it that way. Pop over for a meal. Watch fireworks and walk home. Do rope drop, leave for a pool break, return in the evening. The proximity makes this easy.
The Walk to Hollywood Studios Is Borderline
At 20-25 minutes, it's the longest of the EPCOT-area walks. In nice weather, it's fine. In heat, take the boat or bus.
Share with Yacht Club
You have full access to Yacht Club amenities. Same bus stop, same boat dock, same walking paths.
Stormalong Bay
Beach Club shares Stormalong Bay pool with Yacht Club — one of Disney's best pools. Take a mid-day break from the parks.
