Caribbean Beach Resort Transportation: Skyliner Hub & 4-Park Bus Access
Transportation from Caribbean Beach
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is the only Disney resort with direct, transfer-free Skyliner service to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios — plus bus service to all four parks and Disney Springs. Door-to-door from your room you're looking at 12-20 minutes to Hollywood Studios and 15-25 minutes to EPCOT International Gateway, both direct, no transfers. That's a meaningful daily advantage over Pop Century and Art of Animation, which transfer at your station for Hollywood Studios, and over Riviera, which is closer to EPCOT but requires a transfer at your station for Hollywood Studios.
This page covers what guests staying at Caribbean Beach actually need to know about getting around. For a deeper look at the station itself — the two-platform layout, hub topology, transfer mechanics for other resorts' guests passing through, and the operational quirks like the EE Hours hub closure — see the dedicated Caribbean Beach Skyliner Station guide.
Skyliner from Caribbean Beach
The Caribbean Beach Skyliner station is your home station — the central hub of the entire system. As a Caribbean Beach guest, you board on the correct platform (EPCOT side or Hollywood Studios side) and ride direct, no transfer. Pop Century, Art of Animation, and Riviera guests transfer through your station; you skip that step entirely.
To EPCOT (International Gateway)
Direct service through the Riviera Resort station (a pass-through stop where you stay seated) to EPCOT's International Gateway in World Showcase.
Typical in-air ride: 10-15 minutes Door-to-door from your room: 15-25 minutes for a Jamaica or Aruba room at off-peak; up to 35-40 minutes from Trinidad South at rope drop
Drops you at: International Gateway (World Showcase, between France and the United Kingdom). For the main entrance (Spaceship Earth, Guardians of the Galaxy, Test Track), take the bus instead.
For step-by-step timing and the rope drop playbook, see Caribbean Beach to EPCOT.
To Hollywood Studios
Direct service from the Hollywood Studios platform at your station — no transfer, no intermediate stops. This is the most direct line in the entire Skyliner system.
Typical in-air ride: 5-7 minutes Door-to-door from your room: 12-20 minutes for a Jamaica or Aruba room at off-peak; up to 30-35 minutes from Trinidad South at rope drop
For Rise of the Resistance rope drop strategy and step-by-step timing, see Caribbean Beach to Hollywood Studios.
The Hub Advantage for Caribbean Beach guests
Being at the hub means:
- No transfers ever to either Skyliner-served park — you board at your station and ride directly to either EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.
- Two platforms means flexibility — you can check both queues and pick the shorter one (the EPCOT side is busier during the post-fireworks return; the Hollywood Studios side is busier at rope drop).
- On-site food, drinks, and restrooms at the station — the only Skyliner station with all three, useful for a quick stop on the way out the door.
For the full mechanics of the hub — including how the 3-line transfer topology works for Pop / AoA and Riviera guests passing through, and the EE Hours closure that affects Caribbean Beach guests trying to get home from EPCOT late at night — see the Caribbean Beach Skyliner Station guide.
The EE Hours gotcha (worth knowing before you book a late EPCOT dinner)
On EPCOT Extended Evening Hours nights — typically Mondays and Wednesdays, reserved for Deluxe and DVC guests — the Skyliner runs a reduced schedule that closes your home hub completely along with the Hollywood Studios line and the Pop / Art of Animation line. The only route that stays active is the limited shuttle between EPCOT's International Gateway and Riviera Resort. If you're at EPCOT late on an EE Hours night, you'll bus home rather than taking the Skyliner. Plan accordingly — full details on the station guide.
Buses from Caribbean Beach
Buses run from Caribbean Beach to every Disney destination. The bus stop is near the main lobby at Old Port Royale.
To Magic Kingdom
Typical time: 20-30 minutes
Direct bus to the Magic Kingdom bus loop, located just outside the park gates. No transfer needed. See Getting to Magic Kingdom.
To EPCOT (Main Entrance)
Typical time: 20-30 minutes
Direct to EPCOT's front entrance. Use this when you need Spaceship Earth, Guardians of the Galaxy, or Test Track first.
To Hollywood Studios
Typical time: 15-25 minutes
Direct service. The Skyliner is usually better from Caribbean Beach since it's also direct and more enjoyable. But the bus is a solid backup during weather closures.
To Animal Kingdom
Typical time: 20-30 minutes
Bus only.
To Disney Springs
Typical time: 15-20 minutes
Direct bus service.
Which Should You Take?
| Destination | Best Option | Why |
|---|---|---|
| EPCOT (World Showcase) | Skyliner | Direct, 10-15 min in air, scenic |
| EPCOT (Main Entrance) | Bus | Drops you at the front of the park |
| Hollywood Studios | Skyliner | Direct, 5-7 min in air, no transfer |
| Magic Kingdom | Bus | Only option |
| Animal Kingdom | Bus | Only option |
| Disney Springs | Bus | Only option |
From Caribbean Beach, the Skyliner is almost always the right choice for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Unlike Pop Century or Art of Animation guests — who transfer at your station for either park — you have a direct shot to both. The only reason to take the bus is weather, EPCOT's main entrance, or a bus that's boarding right now when the Skyliner line is long.

The Resort Size Factor
Caribbean Beach is one of Disney's largest resorts geographically. Your room location significantly affects your walk to the Skyliner station and bus stop.
Villages closest to the Skyliner station:
- Jamaica
- Aruba
Villages further from the station:
- Trinidad North & South
- Barbados
- Martinique
If you're in Trinidad South, it can be a 15-minute walk to the Skyliner station. If possible, request a room near Jamaica or Aruba for the best Skyliner access.
Alternative: If the main station is far from your room, you can walk to the Riviera Skyliner station in about 10 minutes — and for guests staying in the Aruba section at the north end of Caribbean Beach, the Riviera station is actually closer than the main hub. On quiet afternoons or busy mornings, Riviera's smaller, quieter station typically has shorter waits. This shortcut works best when heading to EPCOT (no transfer needed); it doesn't help for Hollywood Studios since that line doesn't pass through Riviera.
Weather Considerations
The Skyliner closes during lightning, high winds, and heavy rain. As the hub station, Caribbean Beach is where backup bus operations are coordinated — but even so, backup buses aren't instant.
If weather is threatening: The bus is more reliable for time-sensitive plans. See the Skyliner Complete Guide for more on weather closures.
Departure Strategy
After Park Close
Caribbean Beach's Skyliner advantage continues at park close. Both lines serve you directly, so you can board at Hollywood Studios or EPCOT and ride straight to your resort — no transfer, no walking to a different platform.
From Hollywood Studios: The Skyliner handles park close well. Lines look long but move continuously. You'll be back at your resort in 15-20 minutes even during busy periods.
From EPCOT: Exit via International Gateway and take the Skyliner home. The ride is direct through Riviera to Caribbean Beach.
For more strategies, see Transportation at Park Close.
The Bottom Line
Caribbean Beach has the strongest Skyliner position of any Disney resort. Direct service to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios — no transfers — makes it uniquely well-connected for a moderate resort.
The trade-off is the resort's size. If your room is far from the station, that walk eats into the time you save by skipping transfers. Request a room near Jamaica or Aruba if Skyliner access matters to you.
For Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, you're on buses like everyone else. But for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, Caribbean Beach guests have it better than most deluxe resort guests.
